I didn’t choose to work for myself and 100% remotely because it was easier.
I chose it because it’s how I do my best work.
When I removed the daily commute, the constant meetings for the sake of meetings, and the pressure to “be seen” instead of be effective, something interesting happened…
👉 While I am highly productive, my output improved.
👉 While I have a very strong focus on what I am doing, it sharpened.
This equated to more value for my clients
Working remotely also gives me back hours that would otherwise be lost to travel. Those hours don’t disappear they go directly into:
Deeper thinking
More considered advice
Faster turnaround
More availability for clients
For modern SMEs, this model just fits.
Today’s businesses are lean, fast moving and outcome focused. They don’t need more layers, more overhead or traditional structures that slow decisions down. They need experienced support that can plug in quickly, deliver, and move on when the job is done.
And from a client perspective? It just makes sense.
No office overheads
No on site costs
No additional fees to cover things that don’t add value
Just senior HR experience, delivered efficiently, whether project by project or part time embedded, exactly how many SMEs prefer to engage specialist support.
Working for myself also means I can be selective, not exclusive, but intentional.
I can support more businesses, across more locations, without compromising quality. I’m not tied to one office, one industry, or one way of doing things.
The result?
Smarter HR
Lower cost
Greater flexibility
Better outcomes
Remote work isn’t a compromise or limitation in my world. It’s the reason Clients get access to focused, experienced HR support without the traditional complexity.
A modern solution for modern businesses.
Sometimes working “outside the system” is exactly what allows you to deliver inside what really matters.
